Individual Counseling:
Finding a Path Forward
People seek counseling for many reasons. Sometimes the problem is a relationship issue. Often, they feel stuck in a problem and want help finding options, ideas, and a path forward. Here are some problems that are often the focus of counseling:
- anxiety, fear, panic
- sadness, depression, loneliness
- grief and loss
- life transitions including marriage, parenthood, divorce, and empty-nest
- mid-life exploration and mid-life “crisis”
- spiritual conflicts or exploration
- family conflict, family-of-origin issues
- guilt, shame
- low self-esteem
- motivation problems
- feeling “stuck” and unable to initiate individual and/or relationship change.
Couples Counseling:
Hope for Your Relationship
A couples therapist is an advocate for the well being of the relationship. This includes helping you explore relationship expectations, dreams, and desires. What are your hopes and dreams for your relationship?
I work with married and engaged couples and those in committed relationships.
I also work with those who were committed to a relationship and are now struggling to decide the fate of the relationship.
I am a certified PREPARE/ENRICH provide. PREPARE is a marriage preparation program. ENRICH is a relationship enrichment program.
If your partner isn’t ready for couples counseling one option is individual counseling about relationship issues.
If you would like to get started with counseling call Victoria Elliott at 612–840–0396. Or send a message.
